Description

We've all been there. We’ve run out of money, people, resources while the mantra “do more with less” continues. Trimming of resources may have started during COVID for some and earlier for others with other budget cuts. Positions opened by retirement are left vacant while others are eliminated altogether. Managing the job “to do list” requires novel approaches under these conditions combined with other compounding factors such as burn out and changing technology.

This panel led discussion aims to frame the problem(s) and seek solutions among geography practitioners who’s skills and talents are resources that may be under leveraged. The panel, made of experts from private industry, government and academia aims to create an open and fruitful cross pollination of ideas with session participants. Discussion outcomes can include creation of new professional networks, resource sharing and solutions suggestions to take back to your employer.
